"...where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
(Matthew 6:21)
Join us Wednesday at 7:30 for another look at the Sermon on the Mount and the commitment to God that Jesus required. Jesus tells us, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth," "No man can serve two masters," "Take no thought for your life," and "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness." "...he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
(John 3:21)
A cause is that which brings about an effect or a result. The Bible points to God as the one divine Cause of all effects. Correctly interpreted, both the Cause and the effect are not material, but spiritual. Spirit is that which never changes, is all substance, and is eternal. Click the image for more.

"Thus saith the Lord my God;...I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered:"
(Zechariah 11:4; 13:2)
The Ten Commandments lay the foundation for worshipping one infinite God, and against the erroneous gods of a belief that error is as real as Truth. Science and Health refers to "the rightness of all divine action, as the emanation of divine Mind." Click the image for more.
“…Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!” (I Chronicles 16:10)
Thanksgiving Day is a day of gratitude, and for Christian Scientists gratitude is an important element in healing. We feel gratitude for good things in our lives. But gratitude is even more -- the spiritual sense of our universe as the expression of God, who is all good. Join us this Thanksgiving Day. Our service begins at 10:00 a.m. We hope you will invite your friends and family to be a part of our church family for this healing service.
"Pray without ceasing" (I Thessalonians 5:17)
Mary Baker Eddy knew the importance of prayer. She understood it as that which brings the individual into harmony, or alignment, with the Science of being. Prayer is so important, she made it the very first chapter in the Christian Science textbook.
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies..." (Matthew 5:44)
This week's readings explore the part of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus says - "Ye have heard it said...but I say unto you..." Join us Wednesday at 7:30 as we take a look at how Jesus raises thought from a simple command to a higher level of spiritual action. Click the image for more.
"O sing unto the Lord a new song..."
(Psalm 96:1)
In Christian Science, we learn the distinction between the mortal and the immortal. How do we know we are immortal? The sermon this week speaks of things like goodness and spirituality, traits that are immortal. Mrs. Eddy tells us: "Willingness to become as a little child and to leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea" (Science and Health page 323). Click the image for more.
"Ye are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14)
We continue our study of Jesus' sermon on the mount with verses 13-20 of the 5th chapter of the gospel of Matthew. These verses include "Ye are the salt of the earth," "Ye are the light of the world," and "I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." Join us Wednesday at 7:30 as we explore these verses together. "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."
(Proverbs 10:22)
"The blessing of the Lord" is seen as light, a term which includes joy and spiritual purity. This is the basis of man's being as the image, or outcome, of God, Spirit. Come join us to hear a spiritual interpretation of the creation account in Genesis. Click the image for more.

"Not human platitudes, but divine beatitudes, reflect the spiritual light and might which heal the sick."
(Science and Health, page 446)
Jesus' sermon on the mount begins with the Beatitudes. Join us Wednesday evening at 7:30 as we explore the beatitudes. Listen or share as members of the congregation share their own blessings received through their study of Christian Science. Click the image for more.
“Wash you, make you clean;”
(Isaiah 1:16)
To be morally pure is important. This is what Isaiah means when he says, "Wash you, make you clean." It is also important not to live a life of guilt. Jesus showed us the way to live this life. It begins by acknowledging God, Spirit, as the source of man's nature and essence. Through this we learn that, even if we feel the weight of sin, the Science of our true being cleanses our thoughts. "Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit..."
(Science and Health, page 249)
What brings healing? Is it logical thinking and reasoning? Is it mind over matter? Is it mental arguments? Or is it a deep and certain sense of God's allness and omnipotent power? Join us Wednesday night at 7:30 as we explore this topic. Click the image for more.
“…there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:”
(Revelation 21:4)
Stories in the Bible of resurrecting the dead — such as the young man Eutychus who fell to his death — demonstrate the fact in divine Science that death is unreal and can be overcome. Mrs. Eddy states in our sermon: “If you or I should appear to die, we should not be dead.” Come join us for this uplifting message! Click the image for more.
“There is but one real attraction, that of Spirit."
(Science and Health, page 102)
This week’s subject is avoiding distractions. Human thought would tell us there are more and more distractions that keep us from focusing on God. Let’s learn about avoiding those distractions at our Wednesday evening testimony meeting. Click the image for more
“O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Click to open the research content. . . as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.”
(Psalm 65:2,3)
When Jesus said, “I and my Father are one,” he did not mean it exclusive of anyone else. He taught that man in God’s likeness is always inseparable from God, and that each person can identify with this spiritual man. From Ephesians: “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Click the image for more.
"Those seeds that fell on good ground are the people who listen to the message and keep it in good and honest hearts."
(Luke 8:15 Contemporary English Version)
Who will be receptive to the Truth found in Christian Science? Who will be receptive and understand God's Word? Come Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. to hear what our Pastor has to say on this subject. Click the image for more

“What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.”
(Nahum 1:9)
Once we learn to distinguish reality from unreality through a spiritual sense native to each of us, it becomes clear that sin, disease, and death are products of a material sense and this are unreal. Through this understanding lived in daily life, healing takes place. Click the image for more.

"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."
(Matthew 10:8)
Is it important for us to pray for others? Yes! Jesus instructed us to do just that. It is imperative that we share the healing power of Christian Science with those around us. And invite them to our lecture this Saturday or Monday. For inspiration from our pastor on how to do this, come to our weekly Testimony Meeting Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Click the image for more.
“…hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?”
(I Corinthians 1:20)
Christian Science is the key to distinguishing truth from error, something from nothing, reality from unreality. Or sermon teaches how the material senses bear witness to unreality, but a spiritual sense —native to all — shows the reality of spiritual creation. Click the image for more.
"The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation:..."

"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit."
(Matthew 7:18)
The creation of the universe by God stands in contrast to a material world. God is Spirit, and so creation by Spirit is spiritual, not material. As our lesson states: "Matter, with its mortality, cannot be substantial if Spirit is substantial and eternal." Click the image for more.

"...where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
(Matthew 6:21)
To understand that God is Spirit — and that, indeed, all is Spirit — opens the door to understanding true substance. From this week’s sermon: “Spirit is the life, substance, and continuity of all things.(Science and Health page 124).
