Is it important for us to pray for others? Yes! Jesus instructed us to do just that. It is imperative that we share the healing power of Christian Science with those around us. When Jesus called the twelve to be his students, they followed him without hesitation. They knew of his works and could sense his love and authority. Mind governs all. This is a central fact of Christian Science. One infinite Mind causes, creates, and governs man and all existence. In Soul, we feel God's presence. In Soul, we see what is true, and are led to the discovery and demonstration of what is real and good. It is so easy in this day and age to turn to material remedies, to follow the rules of diet, exercise, hygiene. Sometimes the temptations are subtle, and we don't even realize where we are putting our faith. Spirit is all. Christian Science teaches that matter is the supposed opposite of Spirit, and thus has no real existence. Spirit is seen in the knowledge of ourselves as God's children. God's love for man, His own image, is a fact. The Bible teaches us that God is Love, and this teaching is in this week's Lesson-Sermon. The mission of Jesus was to demonstrate the scope and power of God's love, in healing disease and destroying sin. Mary Baker says in Science and Health: "God is Love. Can we ask Him to be more?"
